Mary Grey Griffith, left, Mr. & Mrs. Patrick and Helen Marie Boyle, and Jean Unhjem were among the attendees at the Glen Arden Continuing Care Retirement Community’s “Go Red for Women” luncheon, held to coincide with National Wear Red Day on Feb. 2. After a heart healthy lunch, JoAnn Parker, Tri County director of the American Heart Association (AHA), spoke about why events like this are important. As part of the gathering, MaryKate Revella, director of cardiology at Orange Regional Medical Center, discussed “Life’s Simple 7” — which focused on seven ways to stay heart healthy. All who wore red had an opportunity to donate to the AHA.
