During the seminar, presented by Matthew Goerke of Memory Switch, participants learned the three basic processes to begin to train one’s mind for improved memory: Create pictures out of information, place them in mental files and decide how long the information is needed.

“We do not forget, we simply do not focus on our actions and use processes for memory recall,” said Goerke.

The energetic presentation included having participants retrieve a list of 15 unrelated items from memory at the end of the session by using the three step process.

Participants were thrilled with the workshop

“It was very enjoyable and entertaining,” said Jean Cellini of Monticello.

Carol Schultz of Florida called it “unbelievable.”

Jayne Wohl of Goshen said the program was “delightful and very enjoyable.”

Many also praised Goerke.

“He is a genius,” added Claudia Gugliotta of Goshen.

“We are very grateful to Quest Financial services for sponsoring this outstanding speaker and especially Darren McCarthy and Leigh-Ann Mosca for their contributions to this event,” said Director of Sales Lois DiStefano. “Quest Financial services also provided door prizes for three lucky attendees that included a bottle of wine, Tiffany wine glasses and dinner for two to a restaurant of one’s choice.”
