The Glen Arden Continuing Care Retirement Community recently hosted an Octoberfest event in partnership with Clemson Brewery in Middletown for a crowd of 70 beer enthusiasts. Clemson Brothers brews 13 varieties of craft beers, and three of those beers were featured and were paired with selected cheeses: “Hoppy Endings” paired with Monterey Jack; “Foundation Pale Ale” with cheddar cheese; and “Porter’s Peanut Butter Chocolate” seasonal beer with parmesan cheese. Glen Arden Chef Robert Barber also prepared bratwurst and sauerkraut to go along with the tastings.
