Glen Arden is excited and proud to welcome into our community our new Executive Director, Ed Marchi. Ed is a New York Native, originally hailing from the Village of Hamburg. He brings tremendous experience to the Glen Arden team and our residents.
He graduated from the State University of New York at Utica with a degree in Healthcare Administration and worked exclusively in Long-Term Care for the past 25+ years. He worked primarily in county-operated facilities caring for the frail and poor. In two of his previous positions, he was involved in the construction of new buildings that moved from a medical model of care to a social model. This allowed residents the option of living in small households thereby enhancing resident choice. As the Director of Health Services for Penick Village, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Southern Pines, North Carolina he was responsible for Health Services for the Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing areas.
Ed enjoys the outdoors with hobbies including biking, skiing, and golfing. Ed’s fondness for dogs had him caring for two senior rescue dogs, Max and Abbey, over the last few years.
Ed says, “I am honored to have been chosen to be at Glen Arden and look forward to meeting you.”
Welcome to the Glen Arden community, Ed!
